अपने रोटोमोल्डिंग मोल्ड्स के रखरखाव और देखभाल के लिए सुझाव

Want to know how to make your rotomolding molds durable? You are in the right place! So, there you have it, three easy-peasy tips you can follow in order to take care of your molds so that you can use them for a long time without any hassle.

How to Maintain Your Molds

Mold care is so much more than just cleaning up your mixes after you use your molds. You have to regularly check them if there are any issues and take measures to resolve you find. This keeps your molds in good shape and helps you ensure that the product you make from your molds are of high quality. This means that when they are well-maintained, your molds will perform better and will last longer.

Lubrication is Important

A big way to boost the performance of your molds is lubrication. This involves applying a special oil or grease to the molds to justify working again. We lubricate the molds to better manoeuvre them and to avoid rust and surface wear. If you plan to use lubricant, it should be the proper lubricant that is safe for rotomolding and follow the manufacturer's instructions. Though this is right, using the wrong lubricant can ruin your molds, and thus you need to be careful.

Fix Problems Right Away

Molds care: If you see any cracks, dents, or other damages on your molds, you must fix them as soon as possible. It’s like caring for a toy; if you see a broken piece, it’s better to get it fixed sooner rather than later before it gets worse. If you do not take care of the damage, it may can worsen, and repairing it will be more expensive in the long run. Again, the sooner you catch a problem, the easier and cheaper it is to fix.

Before talking about mold and what not to do when caring for mold-related problems, we need to stress how to deal with mold properly.

You also have to know which things to avoid while caring for your molds. One should keep in mind is to avoid scrapers or any kind of sharp tools to clean the molds. These can scratch the surface of the molds, resulting in defects in the products you produce. Rather, use soft brushes or compressed air to carefully clean the molds of dust and dirt.

You should also not be cleaning your molds using high-pressure water jets. Those powerful jets can push water where it doesn’t belong, and potentially tear away the cavities of the molds. Likewise, strong cleaners or harsh chemicals are also prone to disbanding or eroding the molds — something you definitely want to avoid.
